20 mg made me tired, but when bumped to 40 mg I couldn't stay awake w/o benzo @ time. I was taking .5 mg of clonipine which made me pass out. My blood press became too low. I am real sens to these drugs. I spent 9 days in psych hospital who kept giving me these meds. The head nurse finally asked me what new meds had I started. I adv Celexa and clon.

I took the generic form of Celexa for 2 months. I was switched from Lexapro because my insurance wouldn't pay for Lexapro but would pay for Celexa. It did not help with my depression as effectively. Also, I experienced terrible jaw pain every day from constantly clinching my jaws without realizing it. I stopped taking it cold turkey which was not fun but after 3 weeks I'm feeling better & the jaw pain is gone.
